The 2024 Roswell Invaders season produced some unforgettable individual performances. Roswell's offense was capable of exploding for huge run totals, while several members of the pitching staff delivered outstanding starts against some of the strongest teams in the Pecos League. From four-hit games and home runs to seven-inning pitching performances and dramatic late-inning victories, these were some of the best individual performances of the 2024 Roswell Invaders season.
Jonathan Cavazos — Home Run, Triple and 4 RBIs at Trinidad
Jonathan Cavazos delivered one of the most complete offensive performances of the early season on June 8 against the Trinidad Triggers.
Cavazos went 3-for-5 with a home run, a triple, four RBIs, two runs scored, a walk and a stolen base as Roswell defeated Trinidad 14-6. Cavazos was at the center of an Invaders attack that scored 14 runs on 12 hits.
Luis Moreno also had a huge game, driving in three runs and hitting a home run, while Lucas Scott homered and drove in three.
Kayden Lewis — Winning Pitcher in 14-6 Victory at Trinidad
Roswell's 14-run performance at Trinidad was backed by a winning effort from Kayden Lewis. Lewis earned the victory as the Invaders jumped on Trinidad early and continued adding runs throughout the game.
With Cavazos, Moreno and Scott supplying the power, Lewis gave Roswell the pitching it needed to secure one of its biggest road victories of the early season.
Reyes Willis — Three-Hit Performance in Roswell Victory
Reyes Willis delivered one of his best offensive performances of the season on June 17 as Roswell picked up an important victory.
Willis went 3-for-5 to lead the Invaders at the plate. It was another example of the depth Roswell possessed throughout its batting order during the 2024 season.
Jose Sanchez — Big Game in Roswell's 24-Run Explosion
Jose Sanchez emerged as one of Roswell's most dangerous hitters during the middle of the season, and he was a major part of an Invaders lineup capable of producing enormous offensive numbers.
Roswell's June 18 victory was one of those nights. The Invaders scored 24 runs at Joe Bauman Stadium, one of their largest offensive totals of the season. Sanchez was part of an offense that repeatedly put pressure on opposing pitchers and turned the game into an offensive showcase.
Jose Sanchez — Delivers in a Dramatic Win over Tucson
Jose Sanchez came through again on June 25 as Roswell defeated the Tucson Saguaros in a tight 6-5 game.
Sanchez drove in an important run and helped Roswell earn a one-run victory against Tucson. Lucas Scott also played an important role in the Roswell lineup, while the Invaders bullpen held on long enough to secure the victory.
Jorge Canez — Three Strikeouts in a Huge Relief Appearance
Jorge Canez delivered one of the season's biggest relief appearances on June 26 against Tucson.
Canez entered a tight game and struck out three hitters while allowing one earned run on three hits without issuing a walk. He earned the victory as Roswell defeated Tucson 7-6.
It was the second consecutive one-run victory for Roswell against Tucson and represented one of the strongest short relief appearances by an Invaders pitcher during the season.
Alex Marquand — Clutch Performance against Tucson
Alex Marquand delivered in the same June 26 victory over Tucson. Marquand came through at the plate as Roswell completed another dramatic one-run victory.
The 7-6 victory was part of a stretch in which Roswell showed it could win close games against one of the Mountain Division's strongest clubs.
Brandon Lopez — Seven Strong Innings against Trinidad
Brandon Lopez turned in one of Roswell's strongest starts on June 28 against the Trinidad Triggers.
Lopez pitched seven innings and faced only 27 hitters as Roswell defeated Trinidad 7-4. The performance gave the Invaders exactly what they needed from their starting pitcher and allowed Roswell to control the game from the mound.
It would not be the last outstanding seven-inning performance Lopez delivered during the season.
Jacob Young — Five-Inning Victory at Blackwell
Jacob Young earned an important road victory on July 5 against the Blackwell FlyCatchers.
Young worked five innings and faced 24 hitters as Roswell defeated Blackwell 8-6 at Morgan Field. Winning on the road in Blackwell was no easy assignment, and Young's start put Roswell in position to secure the victory.
Josh Walker also contributed as the Invaders picked up an important Mountain Division road win.
Alex Marquand — Leads an 18-12 Offensive Explosion at Blackwell
One night later, Alex Marquand helped lead another huge Roswell offensive performance as the Invaders defeated Blackwell 18-12.

Miguel Sierra — Seven-Inning Victory over Alpine
One of the most impressive victories of Roswell's season came against the powerful Alpine Cowboys, and Miguel Sierra was at the center of it.
Sierra worked seven innings and faced 34 hitters as Roswell defeated Alpine 12-5. Alpine was one of the strongest teams in the Pecos League, making Sierra's seven-inning performance especially significant.
The Roswell offense gave him plenty of support, led by an enormous game from Jose Sanchez.
Jose Sanchez — 4-for-5 against Alpine
Jose Sanchez had one of his best games of the season in Roswell's 12-5 victory over Alpine.
Sanchez went 4-for-5 to lead the Invaders offense against one of the league's best teams. Jonathan Cavazos added two hits in five at-bats as Roswell put together one of its most impressive all-around victories of 2024.

Kobe Head — Winning Pitcher in 17-9 Victory
Kobe Head earned the victory on July 15 as Roswell defeated the North Platte 80s 17-9 at Joe Bauman Stadium.
Head worked two innings and faced eight hitters while Roswell's offense took control of the game. Brett Lindsay contributed at the plate as the Invaders scored 17 runs in another huge offensive performance.
Jose Sanchez — 4-for-7 with a Home Run in 26-7 Victory
Perhaps the biggest offensive performance of Roswell's season came July 19 at Santa Fe, when Jose Sanchez helped lead the Invaders to an incredible 26-7 victory over the Fuego.
Sanchez went 4-for-7 and hit a home run as Roswell overwhelmed Santa Fe. The Invaders scored 26 runs, their highest total in one of the team's biggest offensive explosions of the season.
Sabastian Velez also contributed to the attack as Roswell continually put runners on base and turned the game into a runaway.
Miguel Sierra — Seven Innings and Six Strikeouts at Santa Fe
The offensive fireworks in Roswell's 26-7 victory were backed by another quality start from Miguel Sierra.
Sierra pitched seven innings, struck out six, walked only two and earned the victory. He allowed nine hits and four earned runs while giving Roswell seven innings on the mound.
Combined with his seven-inning victory over Alpine, Sierra put together two of Roswell's strongest starts during the second half of the season.
Brandon Lopez — Seven Innings and Seven Strikeouts at Tucson
One of the finest pitching performances of the entire Roswell season came from Brandon Lopez on July 26 at Tucson.
Lopez pitched seven innings, struck out seven and allowed only six hits as Roswell defeated the Saguaros 6-5. Facing a strong Tucson lineup on the road, Lopez gave the Invaders seven quality innings and earned the victory.
Jonathan Cavazos contributed two hits in four at-bats to help provide the offensive support.
Lopez's seven-inning, seven-strikeout performance stands as one of Roswell's best starts of the 2024 season.
Jose Sanchez — Three Hits and 3 RBIs at Tucson
Jose Sanchez continued his tremendous offensive stretch the following night against Tucson.
Sanchez went 3-for-5, scored a run and drove in three. Shane Morrow also went 3-for-4 with an RBI, while Robert Malone collected two hits and scored a run.
Although Roswell came up one run short in a 7-6 game, Sanchez and Morrow combined for six of Roswell's 10 hits.
A Season Filled With Outstanding Individual Performances
The 2024 Roswell Invaders finished the season with several players capable of taking over a game at the plate or on the mound.
Jose Sanchez was responsible for some of the biggest offensive performances. His four-hit game against Alpine helped Roswell defeat one of the league's strongest teams, and his 4-for-7 performance with a home run came during Roswell's incredible 26-7 victory over Santa Fe. Sanchez later added three hits and three RBIs against Tucson.
Jonathan Cavazos provided another memorable performance when he homered, tripled and drove in four runs in Roswell's 14-6 victory at Trinidad. Alex Marquand, Shane Morrow, Reyes Willis, Luis Moreno, Lucas Scott and Brett Lindsay were among the other hitters who delivered important performances throughout the summer.
On the mound, Miguel Sierra established himself with two outstanding seven-inning victories. He helped Roswell defeat Alpine 12-5 and later struck out six over seven innings in the 26-7 victory at Santa Fe.
Brandon Lopez was equally impressive. He gave Roswell seven innings in a victory over Trinidad and then delivered one of the pitching performances of the season on July 26, throwing seven innings with seven strikeouts and only six hits allowed in a 6-5 road victory over Tucson.
Jacob Young provided five innings in an important road victory at Blackwell, Jorge Canez struck out three in a crucial relief appearance against Tucson, Oscar Paredes earned an important victory against Austin, and Kobe Head picked up the win during Roswell's 17-run performance against North Platte.
Roswell's offense produced some remarkable team totals during the summer — 26 runs against Santa Fe, 24 runs in another home victory, 18 at Blackwell and 17 against North Platte — but behind those totals were individual performances that defined the 2024 season.
From Sanchez's four-hit games to Cavazos' combination of power and speed and the seven-inning performances of Sierra and Lopez, the 2024 Roswell Invaders produced plenty of memorable individual moments at Joe Bauman Stadium and throughout the Pecos League.
