July 18 2011 The Roswell Invaders defeated the White Sands Pupfish 10-6, overcoming an early scoreless game with a four-run third inning and a three-run fourth. Roswell added a run in the sixth and two more in the seventh to build its lead. White Sands scored once in the fifth, twice in the sixth, twice in the seventh and once in the eighth, but could not complete the comeback.
Adrian Martinez led Roswell with two hits and three RBI, while Matt Palko also collected three hits and drove in three runs. Clifton Thomas went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs scored and one RBI. Kevin Hoef scored three times, and Josh Cakebread contributed two RBI. Roswell finished with 10 hits and nine RBI.
Mike McCravey earned the win after allowing five runs on six hits in 6.2 innings, with four walks and seven strikeouts. Brandon Godfrey, Granitz and Adam Polston combined to allow one unearned run over the final 2.1 innings. Paul Jinkens took the loss for White Sands after surrendering seven runs, five earned, on six hits in 3.1 innings.
