9/16/2026-The Roswell Invaders will continue calling Joe
Bauman Stadium home after the Roswell City Council
approved a new lease agreement for the team's use
and operation of the historic ballpark.
The agreement provides for a term of up to five
years, continuing the longstanding relationship
between the City of Roswell and the Roswell
Invaders. The lease was considered by the Roswell
City Council at its September 10, 2026 meeting.
Joe Bauman Stadium has been the home of the
Invaders since the team's inaugural season in
2011. Roswell was one of the original cities in
the Pecos League, and the Invaders have become one
of the league's longest-running franchises.
The renewed agreement continues a relationship
that has allowed professional baseball to remain a
summer tradition in Roswell. Over the years, Joe
Bauman Stadium has hosted hundreds of Pecos League
games and has been the site of some of the biggest
moments in Invaders history.
The Invaders have also enjoyed tremendous success
on the field, winning Pecos League championships
in 2011, 2013, 2015 and 2022.
With the new lease agreement in place, the Roswell
Invaders can continue building toward future
seasons at Joe Bauman Stadium and maintaining
their place as an original franchise of the Pecos
League.
The Pecos League has grown from
its beginnings as a six-team circuit based
entirely in New Mexico into a 14-team league
spanning seven states, including five teams in
California.
The Roswell Invaders thank the City of Roswell,
the Roswell City Council, the team's sponsors and,
most importantly, the fans who continue to support
professional baseball in Roswell.
The Invaders look forward to continuing the
tradition of Pecos League Baseball at Joe Bauman
Stadium.
