8/27/2026-Xander Nabors of the Roswell Invaders has been named the 2026 Pecos League Mountain Division Hitter of the Year after an outstanding season at the plate for one of the top teams in the Mountain Division.

Nabors was a major force in the Roswell lineup throughout the 2026 season. He finished with a .391 batting average, 12 home runs, 80 RBIs, 72 runs scored, 15 doubles and five triples. He also drew 39 walks, stole 21 bases and finished the season with an impressive 1.228 OPS.

Nabors recorded 70 hits in 179 at-bats and consistently provided Roswell with power and run production in the middle of the lineup. His ability to hit for average, drive the baseball and create runs made him one of the most dangerous offensive players in the Pecos League.

His outstanding season helped lead the Roswell Invaders to the Mountain South Division Championship. Roswell advanced through the postseason before eventually falling to the Garden City Wind in the semifinals of the Pecos League playoffs.

Nabors also delivered in some of Roswell's biggest games of the season. Against Garden City on August 4, he hit a three-run home run in the top of the 10th inning to help give the Invaders a dramatic 12-9 victory. He finished that game with four RBIs and two runs scored.

Throughout the season, Nabors demonstrated the combination of average, power, run production and speed that made him one of the premier hitters in the Mountain Division.

With his outstanding production and his role in helping Roswell win the Mountain South Division, Xander Nabors has been named the 2026 Pecos League Mountain Division Hitter of the Year.
