June 17 2024 The Roswell Invaders defeated the Santa Fe Fuego 24-13 in a high-scoring game at Joe Bauman. Roswell collected 22 hits and scored in seven innings, while Santa Fe finished with 15 hits and three errors. The Invaders broke open a close game with a nine-run eighth inning before Santa Fe added two runs in the ninth. Alex Marquand led Roswell with four hits, six runs and three RBI. Jonathan Cavazos went 3-for-6 with three RBI, while Lucas Scott added three hits, three runs, two RBI and a home run. Jose Sanchez contributed two hits, three runs and three RBI, and Reyes Willis had three hits, four runs and two RBI. Santa Fe’s Rodney Scarver went 3-for-5 with two runs, two RBI and a home run. Zeke Hass also collected three hits and drove in two runs, including two triples, while Clayton Evans had two hits, three runs, two RBI and a home run. The Fuego scored three runs in the second, third and fifth innings and two more in both the sixth and ninth.
