July 10 2021 The Roswell Invaders defeated the Alpine Cowboys 19-6 behind a 27-hit offensive performance. Roswell scored in six innings, building an early 8-0 lead through the first three frames before adding six runs in the sixth and four more in the eighth. Alpine finished with 10 hits and committed six errors, while Roswell made one error.
Austin Thurman led Roswell with five hits and four runs, while Lance Myers went 3-for-5 with a home run, four RBI and two runs scored. Bret Leiferman added four hits and two RBI, and Greg Carrington contributed three hits, three RBI, two walks and three runs. Hunter Hill had three hits, including two doubles, and Colton Adams drove in a run and scored twice.
Alpine mounted a three-run fourth inning, then scored twice in the eighth and once in the ninth. James Prockish went 2-for-5 with an RBI, Christian Armstrong collected three hits and Joel Barraza scored once and drove in a run. Colin Johnson supplied Alpines biggest RBI total with three.
Ian Concevitch earned the win for Roswell after allowing six hits and three runs over six innings while striking out nine. Jared Strait took the loss for Alpine, surrendering 10 hits and eight runs, five earned, in 2.2 innings. Roswells pitching staff held Alpine to six runs despite allowing 10 hits, with Jonathan Fleckenstein and Mike Herrera completing the game.
